As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction by installing, servicing, and maintaining cutting-edge equipment. This position offers the chance to develop your skills through comprehensive training and hands-on experience in a supportive team.
The Role
- Install, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites, ensuring systems are set up and operating correctly.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, carrying out on-the-spot repairs where possible.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.
- Provide technical support and training to clients, explaining issues and solutions in clear, non-technical terms.
- Complete job reports and documentation, logging parts used, work carried out, and next steps in service software.
The Person
- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with field service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible with working hours and occasional travel requirements; a clean driving licence is essential.
